Henley Beach is the closest of all metropolitan beaches to Adelaide City Centre and is on regular bus route to the city. West Lakes and Port Adelaide; it is also 5 minutes from Adelaide Airport and 10 minutes from Adelaide CBD. (20 minutes by bus) There are a number of sailing clubs and surf lifesaving clubs in the area, including Henley Surf Life Saving, and within easy reach of neighbouring Glenelg, West Beach, Grange and Port Adelaide, Semaphore, Largs and North Haven sailing clubs. It is also adjacent to historic Glenelg and Port Adelaide. For football and rowing fans, the venues of West Lakes and Football park are within minutes. (All AFL matches played in SA are currently played at AAMI Stadium) Long clean beaches, fishing, jetties, bustling markets, modern tourist amenities and good restaurants are all features of this attractive coastal strip. Just a few steps from a beautiful beach, Meleden provides an ideal location from which to take advantage of the many sporting venues in the area. It is also a most convenient central location from which to explore the many attractions of this beautiful state e.g Kangaroo Island, Southern Vales, Fleaurieu Peninsula, Glenelg and Pt Adelaide.
